Dr. Suzan Alp
Specialist in Internal Medicine · Certified practitioner in traditional and complementary medicine (GETAT) and in aesthetic medicine
I was born in Şanlıurfa in 1981. I studied medicine at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine (1999-2005) and completed my specialist training in internal medicine at İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2011.
Professional background
I completed my compulsory service at Osmaneli M. Selahattin Çetintaş State Hospital and then worked as a specialist in internal medicine at Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital. In the private sector I practised at Avcılar Hospital (2016-2018) and Tuzla GİSBİR Hospital (2018-2021). Since 2021 I have seen my patients at my own practice in Tuzla.
Clinical approach
In the consulting room I work by the principle that 'there is no such thing as a disease, only a patient': I consider the complaint, the test results, nutrition and daily routine together. You can read what this approach means, and how the consultation works, on the Functional and Holistic Medicine Approach page.
I decide on complementary procedures together with the patient, based on the outcome of that assessment. They do not replace the medical follow-up I provide; I plan them after an examination, where they are appropriate.
