The days marked in a darker colour are those also preferred as days of the week in the traditional sources (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday). Hijri dates follow the calculation verified against the calendar of the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet).
Where do these days come from?
The choice of days rests on traditional sources. The Cupping Application Guideline of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye records this tradition in its history section as follows:
It is thought that the hijama procedure may be more effective when it is performed on the days recommended on the basis of the lunar calendar, in relation to the gravitational pull of the moon.
